About Scott
OPTIMUS evolved from Health Care Management Concepts, Inc., (HCMC) a healthcare management/consulting practice providing contract medical practice management and consultative services to medical group practices in New England and upstate New York since 1997.
Every work group or organization has two distinct components: “what” they do and “how” they do it, each component either complimenting or compromising the other. HCMC deals predominantly with the “what,” OPTIMUS deals with the “how.” In 2002, after fifteen years of managing and leading medical group practices, Scott saw a need and an opportunity to express his facilitative leadership style in helping people and organizations development complimentary processes to achieve their goals.
William Scott Erickson received his Bachelor of Arts from Ripon College in Ripon, Wisconsin, majoring in Biology. He then earned a Master’s of Business Administration in healthcare from LaSalle University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He has pursued professional interests in leadership and organizational development through membership, conferences and workshops conducted by the Medical Group Management Association, the American College of Medical Practice Executives, the Organizational Development Network and International Coaching Federation.
His greatest achievement is a result of seeking insight and wisdom beyond the boundaries of his head and heart, enabling him to discover his true voice and best purpose.
